We have a universal longing for a sense of unity, the desire to return to where we came from. This all-pervading desire for unity constantly calls us to our spiritual home. As a sentient being in a world of separate beings, your primary mission has always been to find your way back to your spiritual source, that original state of consciousness where All is One.
Despite the distractions of physical life, despite its noise and click, there is a quiet, inner drive that keeps the soul from wanting to evolve back to its original source. Deep down you yearn to reconnect with the unity from which you once came. This universal desire for unity always leads us forward, towards our final, spiritual homecoming and towards total unity.
The universal desire for unity is a silent yet ever-present call to our spiritual home. As we master the experiences of third-density life and advance into higher-density layers of consciousness, our awareness expands and we become more aware of the vast scale of Creation.
As you allow your awareness to expand further and further, you can take an imaginary journey into All That Is, your original spiritual home.
The planet we stand on is huge compared to the size of a human being. Imagine yourself in space, looking at Earth from afar. Imagine the silence and peace that fills your soul as you gaze upon Mother Earth, who has provided us all with this wonderful home in space.
Then see the Sun in your mind’s eye. Visualize this glowing orb and feel its life-giving energy as your mind adjusts to the fact that the Sun is more than a million times larger than the Earth.
Now extend your perspective far enough to see and appreciate your entire solar system. Then you realize that there are many more suns in our galaxy. There are over 100 billion other suns in our Milky Way. Expand your perspective even further as you imagine that you see an entire galaxy spinning slowly like a giant disc in the great peace and quiet of space.
Then you realize there are many more galaxies. Now expand your perspective to the entire universe, filled with hundreds of billions of galaxies. You realize that no matter how big the universe is, in order for God to be everywhere, the Creator must be even bigger!
All this, this All thing, is in the consciousness of the Infinite Being. Beyond the boundaries of the universe, beyond the envelope of space, there is only that which created it. The universe is contained in the creative consciousness and loving energy of the Infinite Being.
As you feel the Infinite Being holding the universe in manifestation and preserving all life in an infinite aura of profound love, you perceive your ultimate potential. He feels that every being in the universe will one day return to receive this, our original spiritual home, this all-knowing, all-feeling, all-present spirit behind life as we know it.
Now, as your attention returns to your own space on planet Earth, remember that feeling, the sense of wonder, wisdom, and awareness of ultimate potential.
