Making room for the new > Kate Spreckley

Yesterday’s solstice marked a significant turning point, bringing a new wave of energy to build a stronger connection with our heart and a deeper emotional awareness. It is time to look at our roots and understand how our past affects us. This energy creates an intense light that now shines into the dark and dusty corners of our personal history to reveal old memories that we normally try to hide. It gives us the emotional courage to look at where we came from and recognize that we are capable of creating new ways of being and belonging. And yet, unless we face the past and what still affects us and holds us back, these new paths remain hidden or inaccessible.

As you begin this week, be aware of what surfaces. You may feel more emotional than usual. Allow yourself to feel it. Don’t judge these feelings or try to push them away. When you bury your emotions, they stay inside. Feeling them fully is the only way to let them go. Observe them without becoming them. Recognize that old, stuck energy is being released. Treat yourself with extra kindness, stop before you react, and notice your feelings without getting lost in them. Remember that you cannot accept a new form of being if you are still full of old hurts. If you let this heavy energy pass through you, you make room for the arrival of the new one.

Much love, Kate
