Feeling disconnected and homesick? Online mental health communities offer support

Iif you’re like many people in the world right now, you may find that the “social distancing” by to stay at home and away from the crowd. It is natural to feel disconnected from our sources of support and community in times like these. I encourage you to consider the idea that so many other people are having very similar experiences as you are right now…at this very moment. Indeed, you are not alone.

There are many online support resources, resources and communities to help maintain that vital sense of connection during this stressful global time. Times like these force us to practice more than ever before sympathykindness and benevolence towards our fellow human beings. We are all in this together and need each other’s support.

If you are someone who struggles with a mental health problem or dependencyit can be especially important to your recovery and well-being to maintain a lifeline to the resources and communities that can provide you with the most support. Fortunately, there are online mental health resources available if you find yourself unable to connect with these communities face-to-face.
